Strong position in the domestic steering systems industry for HCV and tractors; established relationship with leading OEMs -

The Indian steering gear market is primarily dominated by three major players viz 

1. JTEKT India Limited (erstwhile Sona Koyo Steering Systems Limited) While JTEKT is primarily present in the passenger vehicle (PV) segment
2. Rane TRW Steering Systems Private Limited  and 
3. ZFI. 

 ZFI and Rane are mainly present in the commercial vehicle and tractor segment. Overall, the domestic M&HCV and tractor steering system market is primarily duopolistic in nature with ZFI and Rane Group accounting for ~90% of the market share

 Robert Bosch Automotive Systems which is amongst the largest steering system manufacturers globally, holds 25.89% stake in ZFI

The company’s Pithampur facility will start operation soon. The total project cost is estimated at Rs 127 crore, out of which Rs 90-95 crore has been already incurrent incurred and rest will be invested over next 2-3 quarters.

 Renewable Energy

Solar Energy 

Company's 5 MW Solar Power Project at Gujarat Solar Park, Charnka Village, District Patan (Kutch), Gujarat, generated 7.6 million Units of Electricity with sales-revenue of Rs.84.8 million in the FY 2018-19. The entire electricity is purchased by Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL), a Government of Gujarat Company, in terms of the multi-year Power Purchase Agreement. The Company’s rooftop solar project, situate at its Vadu Budruk plant, generated around 1 million units of electricity in FY 2018- 19, which was captively consumed in the said plant.

 Wind Energy 

Seven Wind Turbine Machines, owned and operated by the Company, located in districts of Satara and Ahmednagar, having aggregate capacity of 6.7 MW, generated a total of 8.9 million units in the FY 2018-19. All the units generated were used as captive consumption, which accounted for approximately 57.4% of the energy-consumption of the Company's factory at Village Vadu Budruk.
